We provide advanced spinal correction utilizing "state of the art" chiropractic techniques. Never in the history of chiropractic have we been able to provide the level of help and expertise that now exists. These newer correction methods are even safer, more comfortable and more effective than ever before. As a Doctor of Chiropractic, Dr. Jeremy Turley and Dr. Debra Corum have years of training and experience in spinal adjustment.
If you are skeptical of chiropractic, we advise you to come in and give us a try. What do you have to lose? Except your pain and/or symptoms? We tailor our techniques to each individual
patient and those that are timid of a "traditional chiropractic adjustment" will rest at east knowing we have several different chiropractic techniques that specialize in low-force, gentle
adjustments. We treat the whole family - every one from 100 years old to infants!
We teach our patients special "blueprint" exercises to help strengthen and correct their own unique problem. These exercises can be performed in the comfort of your own home and can improve the effectiveness of your spinal correction. In addition to skeletal misalignment, muscles and connective tissues can be out of place or strained by improper alignment and use. Specific exercises and stretches can help your body stay in balance and in health.
How does acupuncture work? On a molecular level we are all bundles of energy (in traditional Chinese Medicine this life force is called QI). Without energy we cease to exist. According to Acupuncture principles, when this QI becomes blocked or no longer balanced throughout the body – illness and pain become apparent. The acupuncturist will treat specific acupuncture points that will allow your body to become balanced once again; allowing for properly flowing QI.Dr. Corum will evaluate your tongue, pulse, nails, along with an extensive health history to help explain your symptoms or condition.
Does it work? Yes! In a recent article published in The Wall Street Journal on March 22, 2010 it was stated that “neuroimaging studies show that it (Acupuncture) seems to calm areas of the brain that register pain and activate those involved in rest and recuperation. Doppler ultrasound shows that acupuncture increases blood flow in treated areas. Thermal imaging shows that it can make inflammation subside.” Patients will typically say that they can feel the energy in their body shifting as the treatment is performed, and it isn’t uncommon for symptoms to decrease even after the first treatment!
According to the World Health Organization (WHO) there are 40 conditions that Acupuncture treats well. Those range from constipation, diarrhea, tinnitus, infertility, menopausal symptoms, premenstrual syndrome, chronic fatigue, arthritis, back pain, muscle cramping, neck pain, sciatica, headaches, migraines, Parkinson’s disease, postoperative pain, stroke, Bell’s Palsy, asthma, the common cold, sinusitis, tonsillitis, to conditions such as anxiety, depression, and insomnia. Some insurance companies will now cover a portion of the costs associated with treatment.
